NAZ Suns donate turkeys at Flying High Turkey Drive

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. –The Northern Arizona Suns donated 192 turkeys to the Yavapai Food Bank on Monday to help the less fortunate in the community have a full Thanksgiving dinner.

Stationed at the Flying High Turkey Drive at the Fry’s Food and Drug stores in Prescott Valley (Glassford Hill Road) and Prescott (Willow Creek Road) Monday, Buckets the Ball Hog and members of the NAZ Suns front office delivered 96 turkeys at each location. The Suns partnered with both the Prescott Valley Chamber and the Prescott Chamber to help collect turkeys.

The ultimate goal for the drive is to collect 2,500 turkeys for the Yavapai Food Bank, who will donate them and other traditional Thanksgiving “trimmings” to the less fortunate.

Besides the two stores the NAZ Suns attended, the Flying High Turkey Drive also took place at a second a location in Prescott (Fair Street), Cottonwood and Flagstaff.
