Chino Valley trailer fire

No injuries are being reported following a trailer fire in Chino Valley.  Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority crews were dispatched to the fire on Bottlebrush Drive Saturday morning.  The first arriving units found heavy smoke coming from the trailer and visible flames in the water heater area.  Crews quickly put out the fire while doing a quick search of the home to make sure there was no one inside.  The fire was contained to one side of the home and several personal items were saved.  Several Central Arizona engines and a Prescott Fire engine dealt with the incident for more than an hour.  Lifeline Ambulance was also on scene in the event of any medical needs.  The cause hasn’t been identified.

Search for Cottonwood City Manager

Camp Verde theft suspects sought

The Camp Verde Marshall’s Office needs your help in locating a couple of theft suspects.  A man and a woman entered the Circle K Store on Finnie Flats Road in Camp Verde just after midnight on August 20th.  The two are captured on store video stealing several packs of scratch off lottery tickets from behind the counter.  Pictures from that video can be seen on the Camp Verde Marshal’s Office Facebook page.  Employees have indicated the 2 suspects are persons of interest in several other Circle K thefts that have occurred throughout Yavapai County.  If you have information about this theft or the suspects, call the Camp Verde Marshall’s Office at (928) 554-8300.

Open House for the design of Carleton & South Cortez

Learn about what the City of Prescott has planned for Carleton and South Cortez Streets.  City representatives are hosting an Open House meeting at 4:30 this afternoon for the design of the Carleton and South Cortez Streets Reconstruction Project.  Improvements include the removal and replacement of the existing pavement along West Carleton from the Mile High Middle School entrance to South Cortez, and along South Cortez from Carleton to Goodwin.  Additional improvements include the installation of underground storm drain, water and sewer main upgrades and streetscaping.  Streetscape elements include landscaping, the replacement of concrete sidewalks, driveway entrances and curb and gutter along the project corridors.  Attendees at the Open House in the Mile High Middle School Cafeteria on Granite Street can look at the preliminary design plans and ask questions about the project.
