Cottonwood woman arrested for selling drugs

A 53-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly selling drugs in and around the Cottonwood area. On Monday afternoon at 4, Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking detectives watched Sherrie Clubb as she met with a man near the intersection of Aspen and 15th Streets. Detectives observed what appeared to be a hand to hand drug deal and during contact with clubb, found more than 4 grams of methamphetamine. The meth was broken down into 10 individual packaged baggies. Also found were 2 individual packages of marijuana weighing more than 3 grams, paraphernalia and a 20 dollar bill from the alleged sale. Clubb is facing possession and transportation charges.

CYMPO to review regional transportation

The Central Yavapai Metropolitan Planning Organization Technical Advisory Committee meets tomorrow morning for review of a regional transportation planning document. Organization officials describe the Unified Planning Work Program as a continuing, cooperative and comprehensive transportation planning process. Proposed activities for the upcoming fiscal year include solicitation from local governments and ADOT on improvement projects and use of the Regional Transportation Plan updated traffic model to develop short and long range planning priorities. As for specific road projects, the program includes completion of the evaluation of Highway 89 from Road 3 North to the Prescott National Forest boundary and a study of Highway 89A from 89 to Highway 69. The meeting starts at 8 tomorrow morning in the Prescott Valley Library Auditorium on Civic Circle.

$10M worth of building permits in PV, including a new Starbucks

More rooftops are going up in Prescott Valley. According to Prescott Valley officials, 329 building permits were issued last month with a total value of nearly 10 million dollars. These permits include 16 single family homes in the Granville subdivision, 5 in Pronghorn Ranch, 4 each in Stoneridge and Viewpoint, 2 each in Quailwood and Central Prescott Valley and 1 in Raven Ridge. This number is up from the 284 permits issued in January, including 31 new single family homes. A new commercial permit was also issued for a 66 hundred square foot multi-tenant building off Glassford Hill Road that will include a Starbuck’s Coffee.
