PV Road Projects

The Prescott Valley Town Council will discuss various road projects at 5:30 tonight.  According to Engineering Division Manager Ron Pine, this year’s budget has a 2 inch asphalt overlay proposed for Yavapai Road from Robert Road to Navajo Drive.  Construction plan services would cost nearly 19 thousand dollars.  Another proposed project involves landscape median improvements on Glassford Hill Road.  Dava and Associates would provide design services in the amount of more than 39 thousand dollars.  The improvements along the Granville subdivision frontage between Tuscany Way and Highway 89A has been proposed by development representatives.  Discussion on these projects will take place during the Town Council’s study session, which will be held in the Library Auditorium on Civic Circle.  

School starts soon!

Preparations are underway for the start of school in the Prescott Unified School District 2 weeks from now.  Superintendent Joe Howard describes what’s been taking place this summer. Howard says before classes begin, teachers will be at the schools and they will be able to meet with students and parents before the first day. Information on enrollment and back to school activities is available online at prescottschools.com.
