On July 23, 2019, deputies were dispatched to the reported theft of an electronic speed limit sign on Poquito Valley and Esteem Way, Prescott Valley. A county roads employee indicated the sign was stolen sometime between 2:30 PM on July 22, 2019, and 9:30 AM on July 23, 2019.

The sign is valued at approximately $5500 and was purchased by the Sheriff’s Office with grant monies from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety. The brand name is ‘Traffic Logix’ with a serial number of 19010808. The sign was attached below a standard speed limit sign on a post also containing a solar panel mounted at the top of the post.

The post used to mount the signs was also missing.

YCSO is seeking anyone with information on the theft of the sign to contact Detective Todd Swaim at 928-554-8605 or Yavapai Silent Witness at 1800-932-3232. You can submit a tip to Silent Witness online at www.yavapaisw.com
