Prescott Valley Police Chief Bryan Jarrell Finalist For Ann Arbor Police Chief Position Featured

Prescott Valley Police Chief Bryan Jarrell has been announced as a finalist for the Ann Arbor Police Chief position in Michigan.

According to the City of Ann Arbor website, Police Chief Bryan Jarrell is one of three final candidates being considered for the Police Chief position.

Today, Chief Bryan Jarrell announced his retirement from the Prescott Valley Police Department, effective July 1.

”After more than 34 years in law enforcement, and 5 ½ years as your chief, I have decided to return to Michigan to be closer to family. It has been humbling and an honor to have served the citizens of Prescott Valley and to have worked with some of the finest individuals I have ever met,” Chief Jarrell said.

However, there was no mention in his retirement announcement of his candidacy for the Ann Arbor Police Chief position.

Other candidates for the Ann Arbor position are Michael Cox, from Boston Massachusetts and Jason Forsberg, the current deputy chief of the Ann Arbor Police Department.

A public reception for community members to meet the police chief candidates will take place in Ann Arbor on Wednesday, May 15. Public interviews will then be held by the City of Ann Arbor on Friday, May 17. According to today’s press release from Prescott Valley, a nationwide search for a new Chief has already begun.
