Yavapai County Organizations Participate in Arizona Gives Day Featured

Tuesday, April 2 is the designated Arizona Gives Day. It’s an opportunity to donate to your favorite non-profit before Tax Day!

Arizona Gives Day allows nonprofits, big and small, new and established, to join together for an online giving day. Arizona’s non-profits play a critical role in our communities and state. The Arizona Gives website gathers non-profit organizations in one site to make giving easy and convenient.

All of the organizations listed are qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofits. You don’t have to give only on April 2, the AZGives.org website is able to receive donations year-round. You can even create a scheduled or recurring gift if that is more convenient for you.

The organizations do have to pay a fee for participating in the AZGives program, so if donors wish, they can contribute a little more to help with that overhead cost. By utilizing the AZGives program, even smaller organizations are able to accept online donations whether or not they have merchant account services with their own bank.

Do you want to support an organization that isn’t listed on AZGives? Why not use AZGives Day as a reminder to donate! Almost all non-profits have a website that will provide information on how to donate.

A married couple can make a contribution to most of their their favorite non-profit organization(s) up to $800 and receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit off their Arizona state taxes. If you make that donation before April 15, you can even deduct it from your 2018 taxes now. Be sure to check with an accounting expert and the organization to ensure that the donation qualifies.

Here are the organizations from Yavapai County listed on AZGives that hope for your consideration. Click on the name to go to their donation page.
