Yavapai County property owners to receive the Notice of Change in Assessment Statement

Yavapai County property owners may notice changes in their property values for 2018. County Assessor Judd Simmons’ office has mailed out the 2018 Notice of Change in Assessment statements. Anyone who disagrees with changes to their property values or legal classification can file a petition for review with the Yavapai County Board of Equalization within 25 days of the date of mailing. Only property owners receiving a notice of change are eligible to file an appeal. Appeal forms must be signed and hand delivered or mailed to the Yavapai County Clerk of the Board by October 17th. Property owners are asked to keep copies of all forms submitted for their records. Anyone who has questions on the appeals process can call the Assessor’s Office at 771-3220.

Prescott Valley water customers to see rate increase

Prescott Valley water customers will see an increase on their water bills. Following approval by Town Council last night, Customer Accounts Manager Mark Lusson explains when the new rates would go into effect. Lusson says rate changes are something Town officials are always looking at. There will be no change in sewer rates.
