Truck crashes into Cottonwood building.

Firefighters found a truck embedded into a building in Cottonwood.

A building in Cottonwood has been damaged after a truck drives into it. Cottonwood Fire and Medical Department officials say at around 7:45 yesterday morning, firefighters found a vehicle in a building on West Highway 89A. A work truck had left the roadway and struck the commercial building. The driver was treated on scene and taken by ambulance to the Verde Valley Medical Center. The building only suffered damage to the doorway structure. Cottonwood Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Board of Supervisors finish up budget discussions.

The Yavapai County Board of Supervisors finishes up its Department Budget discussions tomorrow. At 9, the Board will meet with representatives from the Medical Examiner’s Office, the Yavapai County Superior Court, Justice Courts, the Clerk of the Superior Court, Adult and Juvenile Probation, the County Attorney and the Sheriff’s Office. The Board has been meeting with Department heads since Monday and since the final session is tomorrow, there will be a weekly wrap-up and general budget discussion. The Supervisors could take action regarding staff direction on the Fiscal Year 2018 Budget. The meeting will be held in the Yavapai County Administrative Services Building on Fair Street in Prescott.
