It's Time for the Yavapai County Fair Featured

Lynne LaMaster

The Yavapai County Fair returns to Prescott, opening Thursday noon and continuing through Sunday afternoon at 4 with a theme of ‘Everybody’s Fair.'

This is the first time that the County Fair has been held at the Prescott Frontier Days Rodeo Grounds since 2000. In 2001, the Fair moved to Prescott Valley at the Yavapai County Fairgrounds on Hwy. 89, and later moved to Tim’s Toyota Center.

What can you expect? Lots of exhibits, entries and livestock. Some of the most interesting breeds of poultry, rabbits and goats will be there, ready to admire. The Fair is working together with 4H and FFA, many kids in these organizations have entered the animals they raised themselves.

There will also be garden goods on hand, surely including zucchini and pumpkins. Baked goods, embroidery, knitted blankets and fine photography will all be on display. School children will put on an educational exhibit.
