Are You Ready for the 2017 Yavapai County Fair? Featured

It’s time for the Yavapai County Fair - and this year is going to be even better than ever.

Let’s start on Thursday night - are you ready for some bull riding? It’s been two whole months since the World’s Oldest Rodeo, and it’s time to get your fix. No worries, you can watch the Junior NFR Bull Riding, Open Bull Riding and Mutton Bustin’ at the Yavapai County Fair on Thursday, September 7, starting at 5:30 PM.

By the way, in case you didn’t know, the rodeo grounds arena had an upgrade in lighting last spring, and that means everything is bright and easy-to-see – even at night.

Friday night offers a ranch rodeo and bronc riding show, and then Harry Luge, Jr. will be performing at 7 PM.

Saturday afternoon brings barrel racing and Family Fun Night, which starts at 5 PM. To round out the evening’s entertainment, the Mogollon Band will play, starting at 7 PM.

Sunday is your time to shine with a Talent Show beginning at 10 AM. If you’re the best, come show it. There’s a $500 prize on the line for the winner. Also on Sunday is the Yavapai County Gymkhana - an event for the entire family. Register at noon, start at 1 PM. For shooting fans, be sure to check out the Mounted Shooting event Sunday from 9 AM - 3 PM.

Of course, throughout the Yavapai County Fair, you can explore the 4H/FFA Livestock shows and exhibits. Animals such as goats, chickens, pigs and livestock are on exhibit

Kids always look forward to the carnival rides, and the rides this year are worth looking forward to.

It’s ride time!

There are some great deals on ticket prices, including unlimited carnival ride tickets and pre-sale admission passes.

(Note: To get the unlimited Carnival Ride ticket, you must go to Olsen's Grain or Scrubs 4 Less and buy them in person. They are NOT available online or at the door.)

Thursday is Buddy Day, when you can save even more on the carnival rides. Check out the prices here:
