The Prescott Airport Advisory Committee meets at 2 tomorrow afternoon to hear a presentation on the Airport Master Plan. During a presentation to the Prescott City Council last Tuesday, it was explained this has been an 18 month process to develop the plan that forecasts traffic for different kinds of aviation activities. The forecast has been sent to the Federal Aviation Administration, who has approved it without question. Doug Sander of Delta Airport Consultants is scheduled to make the plan presentation. In addition, the Committee will hear an update on the Wings Out West event. This free air show was held at Ernest A. Love Field on October 7th and had thousands of people in attendance. Water project in Wilhoit
A water project in the Wilhoit area is getting some funding help. The Water Finance Authority of Arizona has announced it has closed a $40,000 loan with the Walden Meadows Community Co-op to repair a well. In addition to supplying water to residents in Wilhoit, the Co-op also supplies water to Thunderbird Meadows, a separate water system in the town of Kirkland owned by ACME Water. In June, the Co-op System’s primary well stopped working. Without this well, the Co-op was unable to provide water not only to Walden Meadows customers, but also to Thunderbird Meadows customers. The loan will be used to pay for the emergency work performed to get the well repaired so service could be restored. The Co-op serves water to 400 customers in Yavapai County.
