October Event Is Free and Open To The Public
PRESCOTT, Ariz. – The public is invited to attend on Saturday, Oct. 7 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m, as Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and the City of Prescott co-host Wings Out West, featuring an aerial demonstration, numerous static displays, aeronautical tech fair, and a regional fly-in. A variety of food vendors and concessions will also be on site.
The event aims to build off the success of the 2016 AOPA Prescott Airport Fly-In, which broke national attendance records.
Here are some of the highlights for Wings Out West:
WHERE: Prescott Municipal Airport
WHEN: October 7 9 a.m. to 12 Noon – Aerial Demonstration 10 a.m. to 12 Noon.
WHO: The public is invited to this free family-friendly event hosted by the City of Prescott and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
WHAT will visitors see:
- Aerial demonstration by Matt Chapman, Bill Stein, Skip Stewart and Cindy Irish.
- Aircraft Static displays including a Spitfire, T-6, TBM Avenger, P-51 Mustang, Cobra Helicopter and more.
- Technology demonstrations and displays.
- A variety locally based of food trucks.
HOW: The Highway 89 airport main entrance will serve as primary access to the airport/airshow. An alternative entrance is via Larry Caldwell Drive off of Highway 89A. There will be ample signage and traffic control the day of the event.
