PHOENIX – Secretary of State Michele Reagan has announced the number of registered voters in Arizona has increased 14,169 to more than 3.6 million active voters.
Of the state's 3,650,673 voters, 1,264,154 are Republicans, 1,104,927 are Democrats and 1,242,532 have not designated an officially recognized party preference. Libertarians and members of the Green party make up a little less than one percent of the state’s total registration.
“It’s great to see enrollment rise especially in light of local elections coming up in August,” said Secretary Reagan. “These elections have a tremendous impact on the quality of life in our communities and oftentimes turnout is fairly low. With a voter registration deadline of July 31 and early ballots going out two days later I would encourage voters to visit www.Arizona.Vote to find out the candidates and issues that they’ll find on their ballot.”
