Catch Up In Last Week's Sports Results with Final Score

PRESCOTT HIGH SCHOOL BADGERS

The Prescott High School softball team was eliminated in the first round of the 2017 AIA Softball State playoffs on Saturday as the team fell to Greenway on the road 7-4. The final record for Prescott High School is 16-6-1 with a 11-2 mark in section.

CHINO VALLEY COUGARS

Following an 11-0 win against Monument Valley at home in a playoff game Wednesday, the Chino Valley Cougars baseball team continues the road to the Championship on Friday with a home game against Northwest Christian. First pitch is 4pm.

YAVAPAI COLLEGE ROUGHRIDERS

The Yavapai College Roughrider team won the ACCAC title and will now play in the Region One Softball Tournament at Bill Valley Field in Prescott. The #1 seeded Roughriders will take on #4 seed Pima Community College on Friday at 11:00am.

Meanwhile, the Roughrider baseball team swept a doubleheader but it wasn’t enough as Arizona Western College baseball won their game, eliminating the defending-champion Roughriders from playoff contention.

ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS

The Diamondbacks smacked three home runs in a road win to open the series against the Washington Nationals on Tuesday night. After the Colorado Rockies fell to the Padres, the Arizona Diamondbacks now have sole possession of first place in the National League West. Game two against Washington is Wednesday at 4:05pm.
