AIA Championship Media Day Featured

Divisions 2 through 6 recognized as they stride for football championship

The AIA held media day at Famous Dave's BBQ in Mesa on Tuesday, to recognize the top two teams in each of the five divisions for Saturdays championship games.  The number one seed in Division 6, the Mountain Pointe Pride, also ranked #9 in the USA Top 25, had to work to keep their perfect season in tact with a hard fought 21-14 win over Red Mountain.

Centennial upset the top seed, Cienega 56-21 to reach the Division 5 title game, while top seed Williams Field beat up Queen Creek 37-12.

Catalina Foothills made a statement in Divison 4, with a 62-37 upset win over #2 Higley. Top seed Saguaro held true to form with a convincing 24-3 win over #4 Salpointe Catholic.
