Prescott Police Officer Sustains Minor Injuries During Late Afternoon Crash

On August 18th, 2016 at 4:37 PM, a Prescott Police Officer was traveling eastbound on Gurley Street approaching Bradshaw Drive, in Prescott. Before the Officer reached the intersection, the eastbound light turned green and he proceeded towards the intersection. Another vehicle, driven by a 42 year old Prescott woman was traveling westbound on Gurley Street. The female driver attempted a left hand turn on to Bradshaw Drive and the two vehicles collided.

The Prescott Police Officer sustained minor injuries, including some abrasions and bruises to his arm, but was treated and released on scene. The female driver was transported to Yavapai Regional Medical Center for evaluation.

Both vehicles sustained major damage and were towed from the scene. The Arizona Department of Safety responded to investigate the collision. The roadway was blocked for a short period of time while the investigation was conducted.42 year old Prescott woman was traveling westbound on Gurley Street.
