Scottsdale Airport is closed due to an aircraft accident. A Falcon 20 went off the end of the runway around 2 p.m. today. Scottsdale Fire and Aviation staff responded to the scene immediately. We are not sure of the cause. There were four souls onboard and, thankfully, no injuries were reported.
At this point, the NTSB has cleared the aircraft for removal and aviation staff is working to have the aircraft removed. The airport is anticipated to reopen in about two hours or around 6 p.m. Updates will be provided on the Airport website www.ScottsdaleAirport.com or via Airport's Twitter.
We thank you for your patience and understanding.
