Sandy Moss tells the true story of two extraordinary men and their amazing journey. Read local author’s first book - The Terrible Loyalty
Chino Valley, Prescott, Prescott Valley, AZ – Local author Sandy Moss’ shares a true story not just about sailing but about life. “We are all in the same boat on a stormy sea, and we owe each other a terrible loyalty.”
This is a true story of two men, lifelong friends, who ventured into the heart of the endless ocean at its loneliest point in a 20-foot sailboat. Embarking on a trip across the Pacific Ocean from California to Hawaii, they navigated by means only of a sextant and the starts. They had planned for an uneventful sail, but encountered a storm that sealed their fate irrevocably together as they battled to survive.
Readers will come to know these extraordinary men and their amazing journey - not only on the seas, but beyond - then agonize with them in their most powerful test. Others sailors have crossed the ocean’s expanse, but few with such primitive tools, such as a small vessel, and the depth of friendship and determination of these two friends.
