Last seen near I17 north of 179 following an Argument
Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputies are seeking the public’s help in locating 17-year-old Cesha Adams. She is described as follows --- 5’ 03” tall, 120 pounds, black curly hair pulled back, wearing “high water peasant” type dark brown pants and a light colored “peasant” type top with pink undershirt. Cesha is also wearing white leather sandals, blue fingernail polish, and is carrying a “big colorful purse.” Her race is considered mixed – half black and half white.
Adams was travelling with her mother and other siblings south on I17 to a destination in California. They planned to make a brief detour in Dewey to visit an uncle. Cesha was in an argument with her mother who pulled to the side of the road at milepost 304. Cesha left the vehicle and her mom pulled forward expecting Cesha to eventually appear and re-enter the car. Mom looked back and Cesha was gone. Her mother backtracked to where Cesha was last seen and could not locate her. Her mother left the area and contacted law enforcement. The family is from Arkansas.
Deputies have conducted an extensive search, including helicopter flyovers, but have not located Cesha. It is possible she was able to hitch a ride from the area. If anyone has information regarding her whereabouts, please call the Sheriff’s Office at 928-771-3260 or 911. Updates when available.
